The two windows flanking an armoire in this
master bedroom were very narrow and short. The desire was to cover the least
amount of light possible and create a taller more spacious feel in the space.
To solve these issues we chose a beautiful drapery hardware that was the
same color as the drape and mounted it a good 8-inches outside either side
of the frame. This gave the windows a more substantial presence in the room
and allowed us to mount the drapes just to the window’s frame thus
cutting out very little light. By mounting just below the crown, the ceilings
feel taller than if we were to mount at the top of the window.
