Waltz When Love Finds You

Viennese Style Waltz for String Orchestra Written January/February 2003. The main 8 bar theme for Waltz When Love Finds You was written in April 2002 in preparation for a wedding suite I was working on.

At that time, I suffered from writers block and could not for the life of me figure out how to expand the themes into a cohesive composition. I had all but forgotten about the snippet until one day when I was sitting at the keyboard with the record button pressed and playing whatever came to mind. That little session has given me a few wonderful themes that I am currently working on including the entire version of Waltz When Love Finds You.

The original recording for Waltz was taken in one take on the fly - 3 Minutes Max. It took another 30 hours to compile and orchestrate, and another 5 months to get the recording of the version you are hearing now.
